I pulled out of the parking lot to get back on the highway in the direction of my office. It's kind of a blind turn with traffic coming around a curve from the right. I bet you know where this is going.
I looked for traffic as I pulled out, but apparently didn't look good enough. All of a sudden, I hear a horn and see a car on my right and then we collided. We were both going pretty slowly, but hit hard enough to do some damage to both cars.
It bent the side panel enough to where my passenger side door won't open.
We called the cops and they came and filed a report which I can pick up in two days. He didn't say who was at fault, but I'm pretty sure it will be me. No one was hurt though which is good. We'll just be out $500 for our insurance deductible.
It was only 90 degrees outside too, so it wasn't too hot while waiting on the police (as opposed to the over 100 heat we've been having). There was a breeze too.
The funny thing is, I can tell the meds I have been taking (lex.apro, well.but.rin) are working. I wasn't frazzled in the slightest after the wreck. Yeah, I'm kind of stressed, but normally, I would be a wreck (pun intended).
In the end, no one was hurt which is all that matters. It still sucks though.
