Wow, it's been a while.
Last weekend we went to the hubby's mom's family for a dove hunt (which I find totally ironic - killing the bird of peace). I did not participate in the hunt. We got to see some cousins that we haven't seen in a while and attended our cousin William's third birthday party. It was bittersweet seeing all of the young cousins interacting, knowing that if our IVF cycles had been succesfull, we would have had a little one(s) or would have been pregnant at this point. It wasn't awful though.
On Saturday I started feeling like my allergies were acting up. I was sneezing like crazy and my ears and throat were itching. Sunday morning I was full-blown sick. Eric kept telling me it was still allergies, but I was convinced it was something else. We went home on Sunday, that was fun, a 4 hour car ride while feeling miserable. I was still sick on Monday, but was off work for Labor Day. Tuesday rolled around and I was still sick so I stayed home from work. I thought I would be better by Wednesday, but nope. By this time Eric was feeling bad too. So we went to a doc in the box and got checked out. We both tested negative for strep and flu. I got a steroid shot, some antibiotics and some cough medicine. They wanted to give me a decongestant, but my blood pressure was really high. It was 140/95. It has never been that high. Normally it's low. They told me I needed to go get it checked out after I'm feeling better. I hope it's just because I'm sick. I'm sure that gaining twenty pounds in the past six months hasn't done anything for my health.
So I'm back at work today, but still feeling like crap. I can't wait to get home and take my cough medicine and crash. I hate being sick.

So sorry your sick. I hope you feel better soon.
Ugh. Sorry you feel so crappy! I hope you get to feeling better soon! (And that's a sure sign that my allergies are really flaring, when my BP reads high. I normally have ridiculously low BP, but for some reason, when my sinuses get really, really bad, my BP goes up. Probably just from the stress of feeling crappy. Here's hoping that it's the same for you, and not symptomatic of anything bigger!).
Enjoy your cough-medicine sleep!
There is definitely a bug going around. I caught a cold over the weekend too and am still fighting it. I hope you get to feeling better soon.
