RESOLVE needs your help. We have just learned that on Wednesday, April 13 (tomorrow) the Alabama House will hold a public hearing on HB405, a Personhood bill, and HB409, which would create a Constitutional Amendment to the Alabama Constitution to define a fertilized egg as a person. RESOLVE and ASRM oppose both bills. Citizens of Alabama can testify at this hearing and will have 5-10 minutes each to talk. RESOLVE is seeking a patient who is willing to testify at this hearing. The ideal person will be a man or woman who may need medical treatment, such as IVF, to have a biological child. If you have had a child via IVF, you would also be an ideal person to testify. The Personhood bill would have severe implications on the practice of fertility medicine in Alabama. RESOLVE will help you with your testimony and provide background information.
The hearings are at the Alabama State House:

The hearing begins at 9 am CDT in the “Star Wars Room” on the 8th floor.

Wow - that is insane! I am so glad that RESOLVE is working on our behalf.
I've testified to the California Assembly and it was an incredible experience. I hope that they can find an articulate patient of ivf mama to put those idiots in their place.
