Small update

I still can't quite believe that exactly 14 days from now will be my last day on the job.  I keep thinking it's a dream and I'm going to wake up at some point.  But it's real.  After almost two years of applying and going on interviews and not getting any response, I guess I had kind of given up hope of ever getting a new job.

There isn't much going on right now besides the job change.  I've lost 7 pounds since I started weight watchers.  It should be more (there have been quite a few weeks of gaining and losing the same two pounds), but I feel like I'm back on track.  Got on the scale this morning and lost 2.2 pounds this week.  About 3 more to lose before I hit my first mini-goal.

I've been working out more which is great, but I am so tired now!  I don't want to get up in the morning if I worked out the night before.  I went to a yoga class yesterday at Railroad Park.  This park is two blocks away from where I work.  You can see my work building from the park.  They have free fitness classes at 6:00 pm every weekday during the summer.  I'm trying to make the yoga class a habit.  Last night's was pretty brutal, mainly because I have no muscle tone left.  I used to be in amazing shape in high school.  I took dance for about 15 years so I took being in shape for granted.  I didn't have to work at it.  I just went to dance class four or five days a week after school and it was fun.  My core is gone.  What little strength I had in my arms is gone.  My legs were always the strongest and I've retained some of that, so that's good, but I was still sore all over this morning when I woke up.

Next week is going to be busy.  I'm helping with VBS Mon-Wed which means I'm going to have to get up at 4:30 those mornings to workout before I go to work.  Thursday night is yoga, and then Friday we're going out to dinner with friends.  I have a feeling I'm going to be exhausted by Friday night.

You know, I wish that someone would have told me that I was in the best shape I'll ever be in when I was in high school. I mean, when else in life do you get to work out for two hours every day? High School sports were awesome, and I really was in pretty stellar shape then, but had no idea.

I know it is a matter of making it a priority, but it is so hard to add exercise into my daily schedule these days.

Great job to you for making it happen!

Great job!!! I admire your dedication, getting up at 4:30 to workout, then volunteering to help with VBS.

Continued best wishes!
